{short description of image} Acadiana Steering Committee

Responsible for the growth, promotion and development of the merit philosophy in the Acadiana area, including membership activities, training programs and governmental matters.

Public Relations Committee

Responsible for maintaining positive public relations within the association, as well as the community. The committee is charged with providing educational seminars to the membership and acts as administrator of the statewide advertising campaign.

Commercial Contractors Council

Responsible for matters pertinent to commercial construction and the promotion of commercial contractors within the association and throughout the community.

Education & Manpower Committee

Responsible for creating training programs and for promoting affiliated programs such as apprenticeship, minority participation, task training, and others. Sub-committees include Apprenticeship, Civil Skills, Electrical, Equipment Operator, Machinist, Mechanical, Painting, Refractory, Scaffold, Welding, Skill Assessment and High School Outreach.

Finance & Budget Committee

Responsible for daily accounting functions, an annual analysis of the expenditures of the previous fiscal period, and preparation of a budget for the succeeding fiscal year, including recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Industrial Contractors Council

Responsible for the administration of the ABC Industrial Training Program and fee collection. Attends to such matters related to industrial construction and maintenance in the Chapter area.

Legislative Committee

Responsible for maintaining records of all legislative and legal matters of concern to the growth and promotion of the merit philosophy, disseminating this information to the general membership, and encouraging action on the part of the general membership on legislative matters.

Member Growth Committee

Responsible for the creation and implementation of programs relevant to growth of the association.

Member Involvement Committee

Responsible for promoting member participation in ABC programs, tracking member participation and encouraging members to use ABC services.

Programs & Events Committee

Responsible for planning monthly general membership meetings and special events hosted by the association.

Safety Committee

Responsible for implementation of ABC OSHA-approved safety programs and membership awareness of safety issues.

Southwest Louisiana Steering Committee

Responsible for the growth and promotion of the merit philosophy in the Southwest Louisiana area, including programs, events, legislative matters and training opportunities.

Associate/Supplier Committee

Responsible for matters pertinent to the associate and supplier members of the association.
