ABC works tirelessly to achieve a balanced construction environment through the support of legislation and regulations that support productivity and the merit philosophy. We oppose attempts at legislation and regulations that stifle productivity, inflate costs, slow job growth, and limit employee opportunities. A full-time governmental relations staff provides the necessary watchdog activities and takes a proactive stance in pursuing legislation on behalf of the industry. PAC activities are geared toward ensuring the election of pro merit construction candidates to public office, and a grass roots network of members serves to ensure both legislative and political success. The Merit Voice ABC is active in all levels of government - promoting the interest of the merit construction industry. ABC covers a broad range of legislative activities, including grassroots lobbying, testifying before local, state and federal agencies, and political fund-raising. ABC members are leaders in political action efforts. The energy among each and every contractor to insure the betterment of the industry and the safety of its employees is of most importance.
